Legal basis and purpose of personal data processing

A person has registered as a customer of Oliver's Life & Style Oy when he has bought goods from the online store or subscribed to the newsletter.

The legal basis for the processing is the execution of the contract with you, legitimate interest and your consent, as well as statutory obligations.  Personal data is processed within the limits permitted and required by data protection legislation. Information is collected from the registrants themselves in connection with purchase transactions and newsletter subscriptions and by observing the use of the service.

Oliver's Life & Style Oy has the right to publish the information contained in the customer register as an electronic or written list, unless the customer specifically forbids it. The list refers to e.g. mailing labels for direct advertisements. The customer has the right to prohibit the publication of information by informing the customer service of Oliver's Life & Style, by e-mailing hello@oliverslifestyle.com or to the data controller.


Information processed for the execution of the contract

We process your personal data to maintain the customer register and to archive and process orders, including handling invoicing matters, tracking packages and managing customer relations.

 

Information processed on the basis of a legitimate interest

We process information from your purchase history for operational development and statistical purposes. In addition, this information can be used to produce more personalized targeted content in our online services and to target advertising. In this case, data processing also includes profiling.

 

Data processed based on consent

Based on your consent, Oliverslifestyle.com can use cookies to optimize the online store and its functionality, so that the visit is as meaningful as possible for you.

Sending newsletters is also done based on your consent and you can cancel the newsletter at any time.

Information on orders and returns is processed to fulfill the obligations under the Accounting Act and the Consumer Protection Act.

The personal register contains the following information:

  • Telephone number
  • Information about processed orders and returns
  • Order delivery and tracking information
  • Payment information, such as invoicing information and the chosen payment method, as well as the information needed for credit
  • Marketing message permissions and prohibitions and newsletter subscriptions
  • Customer service messages
  • Cookie information

 

Data transfer and transfer

The information in the customer register is only used by Oliver's Life & Style, except when Oliver's Life & Style uses an external service provider either to provide a value-added service, to organize the transport of packages, to mediate payments and to support a credit decision. Some of the register data may be transferred to the partners' servers due to technical requirements. Personal data will not be transferred outside the European Union, unless it is necessary to ensure the technical implementation of Oliver's Life & Style or its partner.

Information is not disclosed outside of Oliver's Life & Style or for the own use of its partners, except in matters related to the transport of packages, payment brokerage, credit application, collection or invoicing, and when required by law.

 

Deleting data

The registrant's personal data will be destroyed upon request, unless legislation, open invoices or collection actions prevent the data from being deleted. Otherwise, we will keep information related to the customer relationship for 6 years from the last order. Due to accounting, consumer or other mandatory legislation, data may have to be stored even after the end of the customer relationship or other basis for processing personal data.

 

Principles of registry protection

Care is taken when processing the register and the information processed with the help of information systems is properly protected. When registry data is stored on Internet servers, the physical and digital data security of their hardware is taken care of accordingly. The registrar ensures that stored data as well as server access rights and other data critical to the security of personal data are handled confidentially and only by those employees whose job description it is.

 

Right of inspection and other rights of the data subject

Every person in the register has the right to check their information stored in the register and to demand the correction or correction of any incorrect or incomplete information. Under certain conditions, you also have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your data or to object to the processing of data for e.g. direct marketing and to demand the deletion of your data.

If the data subject wants to check the information stored about him or exercise his other rights, the request must be sent in writing to the controller. If necessary, the registrar may ask the requester to prove his identity. The controller responds to the customer within the time stipulated in the EU data protection regulation.
